Request account deletion
Send a deletion request through the developer contact email listed on the Tichu Master Google Play Store or Apple App Store listing. Use the subject line “Delete my account” and include your 6-character handle code (e.g. ABC123). We aim to action requests within 30 days.
How to request deletion
- Find your handle code. Open Tichu Master and go to Settings → Profile. Your handle looks like
Name#ABC123. The 6-character code after the#is what we need to identify your online profile. - Send a requestto the developer contact email shown on the Tichu Master Google Play Store or Apple App Store listing. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
- Include your handle code (e.g.
ABC123) in the message body. If you signed in with Apple or Google, send the email from the address linked to that sign-in so we can verify ownership. - Confirm the request. We may reply to confirm the deletion before processing it. Once confirmed, your online profile and associated data are deleted.
- Uninstall the app on every device you used. This removes all local data (game history, settings, cached friends list, saved AI games) from those devices.
What is deleted
When we process your deletion request, the following data is removed:
- Your online profile row (Supabase user id, display name, handle code, platform, ELO rating, games played, games won).
- Your friends list and pending invites.
- Your matchmaking and queue records.
- Your private hand data from any in-progress online games.
- Your push notification token and notification preferences.
- Your linked Apple or Google sign-in identity (if used) on the Supabase Auth side.
- Your support correspondence on request, where not required for legal records.
What is kept (and why)
Some records are kept in limited or anonymized form to preserve the integrity of completed multiplayer games, the public leaderboard, and to meet legal, security, and abuse-prevention obligations:
- Completed online game records and ELO historymay be retained, with your user id replaced by a non-identifying placeholder, so opponents’ ratings and game histories remain valid.
- Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (e.g. total games played per day) may be retained indefinitely.
- Backupsheld by Supabase, Firebase, Vercel, and other infrastructure providers are rotated according to those providers’ operational policies (typically up to 30 days for point-in-time recovery).
- Server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) are retained by hosting providers per their standard log retention windows.
- Records required by law (e.g. abuse reports, fraud investigation, legal holds) may be retained for the period required by Swiss or other applicable law.
Retention period
We aim to action deletion requests within 30 days. After your account is deleted, retained items above follow these timelines:
- Anonymized game and ELO records: kept indefinitely for leaderboard and gameplay integrity.
- Provider backups: typically purged within 30 days through normal backup rotation.
- Server and request logs: retained per provider policy, generally up to 90 days.
- Legal-hold records: kept only as long as the legal obligation applies.
Removing local data
Local data on your device (settings, AI game history, statistics, cached friends list, saved unfinished games) is not visible to us and is not removed by the email request above. To remove local data, uninstall Tichu Master from every device you have used. On Android, you can also clear the app’s storage from Settings → Apps → Tichu Master → Storage → Clear data.
Other options before deleting
If you only want to reduce what is stored, you may prefer one of these less destructive options:
- Change your display name in Settings → Display name.
- Disable push notifications in Settings → Notifications or in your system settings.
- Remove individual friends from the friends screen.
- Sign out of optional Apple or Google sign-in to revert to an anonymous local profile.
